About Us
The Bedroom is the brainchild of business partners Chantal Edouard-Betsy and Hilda Tod, who opened the doors to their first boutique in Umhlanga (KZN) in November 2007 after identifying a need for their offering in the marketplace.
They have gone on to win a number of awards in the retail, business and social media spheres and continue to innovate by developing a number of their own home-grown product ranges such as toy cleaners, lubricants, massage products and extensive bedroomwear (where local women-owned small businesses have been empowered in the process), and sourcing high end imported adult playthings.
Having become the standard to which others aspire, these successful businesswomen have now taken their brand to the next level by opening two more branches using a franchise model. By choosing their business partners very carefully, setting their standards high and focusing on customer service always, they continue to build a brand which is not only successful and trustworthy but run with a strong business ethic to ensure longevity and continued growth.
